This policy applies to the game Flingdom: Castle Defense ("the App") developed by Catfish Theory Studios (Joshua Barksdale) on Android and, when released, PC, Mac and iPhone. It supplements our general Privacy Policy.
Data the App may collect
- Game data: progress, scores, and settings, stored on your device and/or through platform services such as Google Play Games.
- Device and diagnostics data: device model, OS version, app version, crash logs and performance data.
- Advertising data: the App shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), device information, and ad interaction data to serve, measure and personalize ads and to prevent fraud.
- Purchases: if the App offers in-app purchases, payment is handled by the app store. We never receive your card details.
The App does not request your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
Third-party services
The App may use some of the following services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Play Services
- Google AdMob — advertising. See also how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
- Apple App Store (when released on iPhone/Mac)
Flingdom: Castle Defense is built with the Godot Engine, a free and open-source game engine. Godot itself does not collect or send any personal data or telemetry from the App.
Ads and your choices
Where required by law (for example in the EU, UK and certain US states), the App asks for your consent before showing personalized ads, using Google's consent tools. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings (Android: Settings > Google > Ads; iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking). If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less personalized.
How data is used
- To run the game and save your progress.
- To fix bugs and improve performance.
- To show ads through Google AdMob, and to process purchases where applicable.
We do not sell personal data.
Children
Flingdom: Castle Defense is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Data security & retention
Data is transmitted using encryption where supported by the platform and retained only as long as necessary.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the App removes locally stored game data. To request deletion of any data associated with you, follow the steps on our Data Deletion page.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here.
